What is Ladki Bahin Yojana?

The government of Maharashtra has created the Ladki Bahin Yojana to provide financial assistance to the state’s needy women. Under this scheme, the government will provide INR 1,500 to the women who belong to families whose annual income is less than INR 2.5 lakhs. The government has also promised to increase the amount to INR 2,100 per month if voted to power. This scheme was launched in June 2024 to cover all the expenses of the women. The main objective of launching this scheme is to empower women who belong to economically weaker sections of the state. To avail the benefit the age of the applicant should be between 21 to 65. 

Objective of Ladki Bahin Yojana Scrutiny List

The main purpose of the Ladki Bahin Yojana Scrutiny List is to clear out the names of dissolving beneficiaries under this scheme. The Government of Maharashtra initiated the scrutiny process on 3rd January 2025 after receiving complaints of ineligible women receiving benefits. With the help of this list, the only eligible women whose family income is less than what is mentioned above will receive the monthly allowance. The Government of Maharashtra has requested the data of the income tax department and State transport department to get a genuine list of eligible beneficiaries. With the help of this scheme, the government will help prevent misuse of the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

• An applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra. 
• The age of the applicant book should be between 21 to 65 years 
• The annual family income should not exceed more than INR 2.5 lakhs per annum 
• An applicant encased in agriculture employment and other nonsalaried work or eligible to apply 

Ineligibility Criteria

• Women who are older than 65 years are not eligible to apply 
• The applicant whose family income is more than INR 2.5 lakhs per annum are not eligible to apply 
• The candidates who are employed in a government job or pay income tax are not eligible to apply for this scheme. 

Financial Benefits

• The selected candidates will be rewarded with INR 1,500.
• Also, the government has also pledged to increase an amount of INR 2,100 if re-elected under the scheme.

• First visit the Ladki Bahin Website 
• The homepage will open in front of you. 
• On the homepage, you have to click on the New Beneficiary List option.
• A new web page will appear on your screen where you have to enter your username and password. 
• After that click on send OTP option. 
• The OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. 
• After that you 
• You have to enter the OTP and click on the submit option. 
• By following this procedure the new beneficiary list will appear on your screen. 

Search New Beneficiary List through Mobile App

• First, download the mobile application named Nari Shakti Doot
• Open the application enter your mobile number and click on the login option. 
• Now you have to accept the terms and conditions then the OTP will be sent to your mobile number
• Complete your profile by entering your email ID and district 
• Now search for the beneficiary list
• By following this procedure you can easily see the beneficiary list through a mobile app
