About PMAY 2.0 Urban 2025

PMAY 2.0 Urban is a great initiative which is started by the government of India to provide housing solutions to the urban poor and middle Class families. With the help of this scheme, the applicants who have taken the home loan for purchasing and constructing the property are eligible to get a subsidy of 4% on their home loan. The subsidy which is provided by the government is applicable up to a loan of 35 lakh and a tenure of up to 12 years. Along with that, the selected beneficiaries will also receive financial aid of INR 1.80 lakhs which will be distributed in 5 annual instalments.

Purpose of PMAY 2.0 Urban

The main purpose of PMAY 2.0 Urban is to provide affordable housing solutions to the urban families of India. With the help of this scheme, people belonging to economically weaker sections, low-income groups, and middle-income groups will be able to address their housing needs. This scheme will ensure safe and secure access to housing which contributes to the border version of housing for all. This scheme will help support the middle class and urban underprivileged families to construct, purchase, or rent affordable homes across India.

Eligibility Criteria

• An applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
• The candidate must belong to the economically weaker section, lower-income group, or middle-income group category. 
• The candidate must be willing to benefit from the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana 2.0 scheme. 
• The annual income of EWS household must be INR 3.0 lakhs
• The annual income of LIG household must be INR 3.0 to 6 lakhs
• The annual income of a LIG household must be INR 6 to 9 lakhs
• The preference under this scheme will be provided to widows, single women, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, transgender, etc.
